Full day excursion to Sonamarg (Golden Meadow) a distance of about 83 kms will be covered about 2-½ hrs. Sonamarg lies in Sindh Valley surrounded by mountains and meadows full ofFlowers. Drive to Gulmarg, the Meadow of Flowers, 2730 mts. above sea level. The distance of 60 kms will be covered in about 2 hrs. It has delightful ski slopes and the highest 18 hole golf course of the world. If weather permits, you Can also have a breathtaking view of Nanga Parbat. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is magnificent. You can also go on a short trek upto Khilangmarg, in about 3 hrs. Enjoy Gandola ride. After an early breakfast leave for Pahalgam, the Valley of Shepherds via Srinagar. Drive through Saffron fields,Visit Awantipura ruins of a 1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiwareman. Drive through the Pine forest and along Lidder River. The total distance of About 140 kms will be covered in about 4 hrs. Arrive Pahalgam and transfer to your hotel.Free at leisure & overnights at the hotel

Kashmir lies in the northwestern region of South Asia. The valley is home to a rich biodiversity including a large number of birds species, many of which are unique to Kashmir.Dumhal is the famous dance of Kashmir which is performed by the men of the Wattal region. Kashmir has been noted for its fine arts for centuries, including poetry and handicrafts. A major attraction in Kashmir is their traditional art and crafts, especially Kashmiri carpets, in both wool and silk with Persian design, jewellery boxes, mirror frames, intricately carved walnut wood furniture, beautiful woollen shawls, and much more.
The famous Dal Lake of Srinagar has been described as "hardly what one would expect a lake to be like - its a maze of intricate waterways and channels, floating islands of vegetation, houseboats that look so firmly moored they could almost be islands and hotels on islands which look like they could simply float away". The famous Dal Lake has shrunk from an area of 16 sq. kms in the 1980s to about 9 sq. kms today.
The drive to Sonamarg is through the Sindh Valley which presents yet another spectacular facet of countryside in Kashmir. Situated at an altitude of 2730 m, Sonamarg (‘The meadow of gold’) has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh River that meanders through the valley abounds with trout and mahaseer. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier, which is a major local attraction during the summer months. Three lakes viz Kishensar,Vishensar and Gangabal can be viewed from Nichnai Pass. 20 Kms east of Sonamarg is Zoji-La Pass at 3540 mtrs which leads into Ladakh Plateau. Sonamarg mainly offers trekking adventure. Trekking can be undertaken to Thajiwas Glacier which is very beautiful.
